Capt. Meaghan Blackman

Native to southwest Florida, Capt. Blackman is a Coastal Florida Master Naturalist. She is also a US Coast Guard 25 Ton Master Captain, Certified Wilderness First Aid Responder, a member of the Florida Society for Ethical Ecotourism and an Advanced Shell Ambassador for Bailey’s National Shell Museum. Under these programs, Meaghan shares her knowledge of Florida's uplands, wetlands and saltwater coastal systems with the Marco Patriots while serving as Co-Chair of our Clean Water Committee.

Capt. Carlos Escarra

Capt. Carlos Escarra is a retired EMT and Shift Commander Captain of East Naples Fire Rescue (now known as Greater Naples Fire Rescue) and a US Coast Guard Master Captain with 27 years of fishing charter experience. Hailing from both the east and west coasts of Florida, he is highly knowledgeable on the effects of urban expansion on water quality. Capt Escarra is also a Certified Wilderness First Aid Responder, Coastal Florida Master Naturalist, and a member of the Florida Society for Ethical Ecotourism. He shares his knowledge of Florida's uplands, sheet flow and saltwater coastal systems with the Marco Patriots while serving as Co-Chair of our Clean Water Committee.
